Last night, we boldly rolled out our first Barefoot Bowls event of the season! Sure, the crowd wasn’t quite big enough to rival a rock concert, but for those champions who joined us—thank you for keeping our spirits (and our bowls) rolling!
Evening Highlights
The night was a smashing success, complete with delicious food, contagious laughter, some truly questionable bowling techniques, and maybe one too many trips to the bar, and that was just the volunteers. If you missed it, just imagine a night where the bowls occasionally went in the right direction and nobody tripped over their own feet… much.
Upcoming Event
This season, we’re keeping things short and sweet—just two weeks of bowls mania! Our last night for the year is next Friday, 14th November, at the oh-so-civilised hour of 5:30 pm. Don’t snooze on this, or you’ll have to wait until February for your next chance to showcase your barefoot bowling prowess (or lack thereof)!
Volunteers’ Appreciation
A huge thank you goes out to our legendary team of volunteers, whose superhuman efforts made the night possible. Without you, there’d be no bowls, no food, and a lot of confused people just wandering around with empty plates. You are truly the unsung heroes of the greens!

We can’t wait to see everyone back next week—bring a friend, a neighbour, or even your mysterious uncle with the lucky bowling arm. Let’s make the last event a night to remember (or at least a night full of fun stories)
